Create a wave pattern using the warp tool.

Add an Alight Motion filter to it, and choose your desired motion effect (shake or wave). Then repeat these steps for every frame you want to have this effect on your video!

Use them together for an awesome ending!

Use the warp tool to create the wave

Select the Warp tool

Set the tool to Wave

Click and drag over the image

Click on the Preview window to see how it will look (you can adjust this setting)

Use the shake effect and repeat the wave pattern

The shake effect and repeat the wave pattern

Use the shake effect to create an alight motion in your video. This will give a nice effect, but if you want more intensity, then repeat it again! The best part of this is that it’s super easy and only takes a few seconds.

Alight motion filter options

Alight motion filter options are available in the video editor.

You can choose from a variety of effects and transitions to create your own unique piece of content.

To create the wave effect, use the warp tool and move it along the edge of your image. You can also use it to create a pattern by moving two or more points in different directions, or even an entire line (see below).

Once you have created some waves, add some Shake Effect settings to give them that extra pop! In this example I am using Alight Motion filters which are designed specifically to work with video footage such as ours so they look great when used together with our original footage.

Conclusion

Alight motion is a very useful effect that can be used in any project. It’s great for adding movement to your videos, and the result is very dynamic.
